At what tq or horsepower could we expect the heads to start lifting on a stock n54?
On straight e85 and 24psi with meth I'm around 700whp or so and lots of torque
After logging the other night and getting clean logs I parked in my garage and let it cool off. I went out about 20 min later and heard a faint hissing sound from behind the motor on the passenger side.
The next night I backed into the driveway (started just fine) and let it idle. No. Codes perfect sound and idle. After about 5 min I noticed some white smoke from behind motor passenger side. And it smelled awful couldn't breathe it up close but from a few feet away smelled of coolant. Still perfect idle and no codes.
I shut it down and there was no drips or fluid on the ground in garage or where I was parked.
Coolant looked fine. So did the oil
Is it possible the heads started lifting and over pressured the coolant system and found or made a pinhole leak in a coolant line behind the motor?
I'm going 2 do a coolant pressure/leak test this afternoon
Thoughts?
