Hey,

Has anyone ever tried running a mix of E85 and 100 oct race gas? Specifically a mixture that results in 30% E85 and 100 oct race gas. Example a mix of 3 gallons E85 and 5.5 gallons 100 oct?

Hey guys,

Met up with a local enthusiast Ash today to tune his new VT2 turbos and inlets. He's also running 100% E85 using a full Fuel-IT system & port injection. He has our canned E85 back end flash.

The turbos and fuel kit performed flawlessly with only minor tuning changes needed to dial in boost and the port injection. We decided 600whp was a good stopping point which was around 25psi. I have no doubt there is another 30-40whp in there when he wants it. Click here to enlarge

Timing exceeding main table values

$

Looking for some input as to why my logged timing is hitting 11 degrees advance at 5600 rpm.

My car typically starts to knock above 10 degrees in this area.....so I capped the main ignition table values at 9 degrees of advance to keep below the knock window.

So I am kind of surprised to see my timing advancing above the main table values I set in tunerpro.

Car is a 2008 135i running a custom backend flash stacked with piggy.
Running 100% meth and 94 octane. Piggy timing has been set to zero correction....so flash should be controlling timing values exclusively.

Can anyone offer any insight as to what other tables may be causing this? Some form of octane adaptation maybe?

hi

on N54 engine with x6 35i, i only have this 3100 boost-pressure control, deactivation code showing (no other code coming) and cannot clear or delete it. no leak on any connection. is this could be solenoid pressure converter or wastegate? i replaced both intake and exhaus solenoid and HPFP. i forgot, this code will show up everyday when start the engine and will off when i drive for a while and turn off then engine and restart the engine. when error code show up, the car run poorly at low speed but high speed is seem very smooth. thank you so much for your help...

Hey guys,

Posting on behalf of a buddy who will chime in with more info...

Hey guys. I've been very busy with a few projects I'm working on, but they are all coming together. I kind of pushed this one to the front because I don't like TunerPro very much. It is slow, a bit clunky, cell shading isn't the best, comparing bins is limited, and most of all, you need to define separate "tables" for axis breakpoints. Well, NO MORE!

This took a large amount of "up front" manual work, but going forward it will be much easier adding new tables defs thanks to the different XML format. The de facto standard for editing bins going forward is going to be EcuFlash. If any of you come from the Evo / Subaru world, this will be very familiar to you. If not, there is basically no learning curve coming from TunerPro either. Just benefits.

Added benefits:
- you can edit table axis breakpoints right on the main table
- no need to "load XDF" (correct def is loaded automatically when you pick your bin)
- better performance 3D view
- can have table windows on two different monitors easily
- nicer colors Click here to enlarge
- etc.

I expect to have an XML ready for release by sometime next week. I've attached a screenshot below for reference. See if you can spot one of the new tables Click here to enlarge

Looking at the VSRF CP, but is it safe to say that any aftermarket CP that eliminates the stock DVs allows room for the coolant overflow tank?

what to do with my 01/2007 E91 335i Daily drive ? (hybrid/ttune questions)

For starters , i live in Europe (belgium)
I own a E91 (yes a wagon :naughty:).
Currently I am running following mods : Bms Dci , forge intercooler with OEM cooplers, Active autowerke downpipes, mechunik air scoops and an ecu tune from a local tuner. Atm it is making 400 ish hp (din) and 560 Nm at the engine.

Recently my wastegates start ratteling so jt is time to decide to replace them . Since Oem turbos are nearly as expensive as hybrids i am prone going the hybride route ( RB , TTE500 , Hexon)
My local tuner says he can't tune for max performance on the rb turbo due some torque restriction in the DME? Wich would trigger limp mode?
The only way to bypass this would be a cobb accesport or jb4 with backend flash?

Will the jb4 stack with my Ecu tune? .. or do i need to revert the ecu tune back to OEM at the Bmw dealer?

I am not planning on running meth, just pumpgas 93 (oct 98 in europe)
Really confused with all the options.

Also a chargepipe with forge diverter valves , and stronger clutch are on the to do list)

Thx :)

Hey guys,

we've just finished our new batch of Solid Diff Bushings:

- Made from Thermoplastic Vulcanizate, not cheap polyurethane
- Offers the hardness of plastic for a more solid mount
- Offers the elasticity of rubber for unsurpassed durability
- Self-Lubricating and resistant to oil and the elements
- Will not crack or deform like polyurethane or rubber

These replace all 3 of the Differential Carrier Bushings (2 x Front, 1 x Rear), effectively locking the Differential Carrier in place and removing any sloppiness associated with worn bushings.

The result is a much more stable rear-end, increasing traction and reducing wheel-hop.

Please Note: Due to the Differential Carrier having a more solid mount to the subframe, there may be a slight increase in NVH

MSRP: $149.95 + Shipping
Introductory Special (first 10 sets sold): $100 inc Shipping within North America/Europe/Australia

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

Low Pressure Fuel Sensor - Black Wire Box

Anyone have any insight as to how to get this off the metal clips? I've been prying (within reason) for over an hour trying to move this box aside to get to the low pressure fuel sensor. I've tried a dozen flat heads and other miscellaneous tools and I can't get anything under the plastic to be able to lift it up a bit so I can pull the metal forks out.

Been trying to pry where the yellow lines are...

Let's get as many of the known engine failures as we can in here.

I'm sure this thread will be interesting as only BB threads can get. All posts and Discussions will be kept in all their glory unlike certain other places we enthusiasts frequent. As I don't currently own a car with a blown engine I unfortunately can't contribute any pics. @Sticky can you repost a few things from @Xearom3's thread and any others you think are related.

I've read as much as I can, and know that I can run jb4 on dinan, using the backend flash option and selecting the 1m, 335is.

I want to know if I can run map 5 and 7.
