Happy New Year everyone! 2014 was a great year and we'd like to thank all of you for your support!
For 2015 we have a few plans for both the N54 and N55 platforms, much of which will carry over to both platforms.
One of which is teaming up with MOTIV Motorsport again on another project with our new (to us) N55. For this one we have acquired a completely stock low mileage 2011 335i to work with. To get an accurate idea of the gains we make, we did a dyno with Goodspeed Performance and will be doing some more performance testing (V-Box) on regular pump fuel (91 octane). After that we will turn it over to MOTIV Motorsport for some Pro Tuning to see what performance gains can be made on an otherwise completely stock car. Once that is done itll be game on and the modification process will begin.
Over the next few months we will be doing a variety of upgrades as well as converting the car to run on 100% E85 with MOTIV providing the tuning as we go. Well document the entire process and the gains we make with before and after performance data on each upgrade and some more dyno testing along the way.
Current car specs:
Year: 2011
Chassis: E90 M-Sport
Engine: N55
Trans: Auto
Mileage: 16,000
Mods: None
Upgrades we have planned thus far:
* MOTIV Pro Tuning via Cobb
* Various Fuel-It! fuel system upgrades
* Intake
* Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC)
* Chargepipe
* Downpipe
* Spark Plugs
* Oil Catch Can (OCC)
* Turbo
* "Ethanol" content sensor
In addition we'll be running various mixtures of ethanol for testing and performance purposes as well as doing some cosmetic and handling upgrades so stay tuned as we'll continue to update the thread in the N55 section of this forum.
On the N54 side, we have recently released our 535i (E60) low pressure fueling solution. Those are now in stock on a fairly limited basis but we have more core assemblies arriving soon.
We are also continuing to test our supplemental fueling solution with great results. This should be a welcome addition for those on stock frame turbos and finding that they are limited by octane or ethanol content. There will be more details coming out about that in the next few weeks as we get closer to production but our intention is to offer this on all the N54 and N55 platforms.
On top of all that, as we progress with N55 platform we will retire our N54 from DD status and will be looking to upgrade those turbos to give it a bit more power...:awesome:
Thanks again for your support and we look forward to working with our vendors and all of you for an even better 2015!
