Hey guys,
Had a few moments today so decided to sneak over to the dyno for a little tuning. Temps were in the mid 90s which is similar to last time I ran the car on the 5862.
Basically the purpose of the session was to verify the new 3.5" catback was performing on par with the previous open exhaust cutout, and that the new custom intercooler was performing on or ahead of the previous eBay intercooler.
I tried to match the fuel up with what I ran last time, a 60-70% race gas mix, and CM10 methanol nozzle, but quickly determined octane was an issue.
Still the car performed well considering. The first dyno shows the best run of today compared with the best previous run with the cutout. Despite the extra timing drops this time around power was up. Also included is a comparison of map 7 when the car was relatively cold after strapping down, and another one relatively hot after another run. Was getting drops even at 23psi warm. Hope 100% E85 will solve that in the future.![Click here to enlarge]()
Finally while it was strapped down I did a run on the 12psi wastegate spring in 4th, and another in 5th, to quantify the spool difference between the gears on a dynojet. Worked out to around 400rpm difference. Something to keep in mind when comparing MT and AT charts.![Click here to enlarge]()
