The install took 3 days with 2 of the being full 12 hour days. I could have pushed through faster if I had dropped the subframe completely off the car from day 1. I am too big (6'1" 225#) to squeeze in there with a manifold and the subframe is still in place. Maybe others can and have but it was a breeze once the subframe was out of the way.
Everything that was suppose to come with the kit did. I used a lift and the help of a couple of friends. You need to be prepared to modify parts sent however. The shortened nuts for the manifold needed to be shorter. The pipe from the turbo to intercooler needed about 4 inches cutoff. I believe it is designed with the stock intercooler in place and I have a VRSF 7".
The turbo did not need to be clocked on initial fitment, BUT when it came to putting couplers on the intercooler pipe and turbo there was a problem. There was a pinch point between the turbo inlet and manifold. Now had I checked this prior when nothing had been tightened down I could have shifted the turbo a few millimeters and no issue would have existed. Anyways there was only a 2mm gap and I had a 3mm thick coupler + 1mm hose clamp. A lot of cussing, soapy water, razor and parchment paper I was able to slip the coupler on and it is stuck for life.
After chasing down boost leaks and making sure all wiring was protected sufficiently I got to drive it. I have to say it is a HUGE improvement over the stock twins! Even on JB4 map 4 the car was nicer to drive. I am running an E85/93 (E30) blend right now. I am happy I went with the pt5858. I plan on making a trip to the local 1/8 track, barring weather and work, before it closes for the season. I also plan on a trip to a dynojet to see what numbers it makes. Not searching for any records just wanted a reliable 500whp DD that can be cranked up to 600whp for a good time.
BTW I went with the journal bearing option, I have ridden in the same setup with the BB version and I am not sure of spool difference yet. I still have to install my oil cooler and then meth. After that then the roll races will commence.
Overall I am very pleased with how everything turned out. The car even has throaty growl to it now. I am still have stock exhaust on the car.
If you have a COMPETENT shop and don't mind spending the money I would have someone else install it. I lacked a competent shop that I could trust and did not want to spend the money because how hard could it be...
ps - excuse any grammatical errors and what not and I will be listing my down pipes and other stuff that is no longer needed for sale soon.
