Ever since I bought my 335i I have felt the need to make it go faster. First it was a simple tune a jb3 which I ended up upgrading to the jb4, then the jb4 iso, and then jb4 g5 iso. At the same time I went from tune only to meth and then onto my pursuit of using E85 with a FBO car. For a long time I considered RB turbos and even though they are a great product I decided I was ok sacrificing response in the name of more power. So I started looking into single turbos. I knew exactly what I wanted, and that was a 6466 top mount twin scroll. I wanted the 6466 for relatively good spool (combined with the twin scroll) and also because it produces very good numbers compared to turbos in its same size category. Looking at other platforms it seems to be the right choice for the power I wanted to make which is 600whp on pump and once the HPFP issues are solved around 750+whp on E85 depending on how the motor ends up responding to that power. I knew what I wanted and all I needed now was to see how I was going to get there. Just so happens a friend of mine is a fabricator and owns his own shop caller KSR Performance and Fabrication. He build all kinds of awesome stuff on a day to day basis and his work is amazing. When I told him about the project he jumped right on board and this is the outcome. The project is coming together nicely and I just wanted to share some pictures of the progress. It will be another month before its done. The downpipe, turbo to intercooler pipe, 4" exhaust, and trans swap all have to be done still but i just wanted to share progress.
