Got my car back last week. Pulled out the old motor that has the upgraded cylinder head on it for a bottom end build in anticipation of bigger stuff coming soon and put a bone stock N54 motor in with 50k miles that I picked up a year ago for a huge bargain. It came from an '09 6at 535xi car.
Anywho, here's the numbers. Its running 21psi peak down low, 20psi at 6k rpm, 19psi at 6200rpm, 18psi at 6500rpm, 16.6psi at redline. Max duty cycle reached is 70%. Pushing duty cycle to 85% (additional 15%) past 6k rpm didn't result in additional boost. Timing is in the range of 10.5 to 11.5deg peak without any hint of timing corrections all the way through.
This used our pump 94 Petro Canada (formerly Sunoco) gas running the Aquamist HFS-4 setup with two 1mm nozzles and 100% meth. According to short term trims the DME is pulling out 25% through trims with two 1mm nozzles so we could probably dial it in a bit better by dropping one of the two 1mm nozzles to a 0.9 or a .8mm instead.
Numbers look really nice to me and the most this car has ever made on pump and meth so far with this much timing and boost. Boost wise there isn't any more to be had up top but I bet there's another 2-3 deg left in there on race gas. I've got a bit of E85 sitting in my garage from a trip to the US a while back so I might try that out as well but its a bit old at this stage and I may just end up dumping it :(
To my knowledge these should be close to the next Stage 2 Batch 2 setups but Tony (@VargasTurboTech) will fill in on any questions there. We'll see the actual Stage 2 Batch 2 dyno numbers with our tuning once they're ready and installed for testing on Tony's new test car.
Cheers ;)
