BT cable (noob) question

Hi All,

First off, I'm a car noob.
I was looking to purchase a BT cable and while searching through Ebay, I came across this one:

In the description it says that it with 1996-2009 3 series cars. I didn't know BT cables were locked down to certain years? I thought it only had to be OBDII?
If the description is true, which BT should I get for my 2010 car then?
